I have heard a rumor that George Bush is planning on running for a third term as a democrat with McCain as his vice president. Can he do this?

Besides, other than Iraq and defense, he practically is a Democrat. McCain sure as heck is.

No, party has nothing to do with it. The only potential way around it would be for the 2 term president to run as Vice President, and then have the new President step down (or die). The constitution doesnt specify what would happen in this case.

No. The constitutional prohibition restricts the person, not the party. Not to worry, Bush will never be nominated by the Democrats.

If George Bush ran again as a Democrat, that would mean he would have to take us out of Iraq. And no he is not running again, as a Democrat. He can't run again anyway. Who ever told you that is STUPID!

No. Nowhere in the Constitution are political parties mentioned. The term-limit rule applies to people, not parties.

No person shall be elected President more than twice. Party change doesn't matter.

no...there is an amendment in the constitution limiting the president to two terms....whoever told you he would change to a democrat is either pulling you leg or very gullible when someone pulled his
