I am guessing you are taking about the Page File which is the virtual memory on Windows...the way to increase the amount used is to go right click My Computer and then go to Properties...than Advanced...Than Performance...than Advanced...Than Virtual Memory...Your amount should be that at 1 1/2 times the amount of RAM you have installed in your computer...it is always good to set the min and max the same (static) for performance.
Once you set the amount press "set" and ok...restart!

Change the amount of available Drive space
Look under Control Panel --> -- System -- Advanced, then Top option, which has Virtual settings.
Aim for at least 25% free Hard drive Space for optimal Virtual Memory

Mict is partially correct. Virtual memory uses part of the hard drive for temporary storage. You can increase the size o make it a set size, but neother will do much good if your hard drive is too full.
Run Disk Cleanup (Start -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Disk Cleanup). Then run Defrag (... System Tools -> Defrag). Lastly, delete any files you no longer need and empty the Recycle Bin. Make sure you delete ONLY files that you know what they are.

Reboot first.
If it still complains of low virtual memory then press ctrl+alt+del, and bring up the task manager, go into 'processes' and make a list.
Search online for instructions on IF and how to remove each item.
You should notice a signifigant speed increase, and you shouldn't get that message anymore.

The only reason this happens is if u have too many programs running at the same time,,especially when downloading
you can solve this by cancelling all the programs that you do not use
its really that simple !!

You are dangerously low on hard drive space. You could add more RAM, but that still leaves your hard drive with low space. You should either delete files or buy a larger hard drive.
