I just read your question. It's hard to say with your situation, because you didn't really say how casual you are. It sounds like you guys spend a good amount of time together. Is it possible he went out of town or had plans or something the day you called? I don't know if in your relationship you tell each other about your plans, so that is a possibility. My best advice would be to try getting ahold of him this weekend or something, if you still don't hear from him, maybe think about looking for a relationship that isn't quite so casual and one that has more responsibility with each other.
