If you eat breakfast, you're eating before you start your daily running about which burns calories. If you eat a healthy breakfast, you won't get so hungry during the day and will consume less junk food.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Your not as hungry as you go through the day, so you will be better able to eat a sensible lunch and dinner and avoid snacks. Think about it, when your wake up it's been 10 - 14 hours since you last ate. You need to eat to function. Eating a small breakfast will help you eat less later.

I've always heard that if you don't eat breakfast, you're likely to get the munchies during the morning and eat snack food... however I think that if you don't eat snack food and don't get an energy dip, then you're fine without.... at least I am. I usually eat one meal a day and no, I do not snack either, nor do I get an energy low, I just don't feel the need for more food. Listen to the advice from experts but also listen to your own body, if you're fine the way you're going then you're doing okay!

The early morning meal gets the process of your metabolism going. It's better to eat 6 small meals a day than 1 large because by munching on like carrots or something periodically throughout the day, your metabolism gets a boost to burn calories more than if you were not taking any in. Trust me, I've been on roller coaster diets all my life!

Eating early in the day will increase your metabolism. If you skip breakfast, the body uses the fat stored to burn for energy, but the metabolism slows down. By eating a healthy breakfast, you'll decrease your cravings the rest of the day.

You're supposed to eat smaller meals for the rest of the day so that your body metabolises your food intake at an even rate.

However, I'm like you, it ends up as extra calories.

Your body goes through a day conditioned to do certain things at certain times, such as sleeping. When you first wake up, your body needs to get started to establish rhythm. That is why breakfast is best. It is better to skip snacks and middle meals other than missing the first one.

Gets your metabolism up and running. You need fuel to burn fat. Go to health with this question and I think someone will go into more detail if no one does here. Never skip breakfast!
