The problem with Enterprise it that it contradicted too many things that were established in Star Trek. "Historical" events from the Original Series were thrown out the window in order to make things in Enterprise convenient.

Personally I liked the series. The reason not many people liked the show because it contradicted alot of what we know about the series, but it also made everything new so we could experience the way that the Federation came about. Also it doesn't help that Paramount who owned the series and also the UPN channel that it aired on, didn't promote the show or show much in ways of trying to help the show get more viewers or have it on a time that people could watch. Also, I think because there were so many Treks on for so long, that many fans were feeling like they were getting inundated. So many left the show even though they loved the show. Also, most fans were just the TOS fans or TNG fans and so forth and didn't want to watch another show. But with the Manny Cato came in on the 3rd season, it started to hit the stride, but was cancelled before it could get better. I blame Paramount for that one. At least we get to see the reruns on SciFi....maybe SciFi will revive interest and then maybe we will get another season....u never know....
So I am a fan and I hope for a better future with Trek.

Personally I didn't like it because it seemed underdeveloped.
Also continuity was thrown out the window to make way for snappy visuals. I'm not a Trek buff by far but they weren't supposed to have contact with a lot of those aliens back then. Also T-pol was very annoyingly emotional, she would've been better had she based it more on calm Spock. Captain Archer was also lackluster, I hated the actor. Some of the other actors were solid though.
Oh and the song at the beginning, they got rid of the plain music with voice-over, or just plain music.
I found it had a lot of potential, but it fell short.

To much of a good thing can be boring, they had a very long run. I still like them but the quality of the story line is gone. They have had their "15 minutes in the sun". I think that they need to hold off for awhile, for a new generation to come along that hasn't been inundated with the Star Trek legions.

No clue, I liked it and wish it had lasted longer, I catch the Enterprise marathons on SciFi. I really like watching them try to find their balance, and operating in a time when they didn't have previous experience to help them deal with anything. They were figuring it out as they went and messing up alot, but that's part of learning. Thank goodness it was Captain Archer and not Captain Kirk out there the first time. Captain Kirk would have beat up so many people he would have turned the whole universe against us.

it didn't have the action pack in it like the other star treks did. I really favorite them it was different then the others and people lost interest of the tv show. And thats how the tv show got cancel. I thought the captain on there was hot but thats me.

Because Scott Bakula was the Quantum Leap guy and everybody expects him to 'leap' out of being on the Enterprise.
I personally love the show.

i liked it, but my local station made it hard to find...they kept moving it around during the week, delaying it for stupid nba basketball games, and generally trying to discourage the trek faithful from watching
