For example Daughrty didn't make the finals and has sold more than Taylor. The only two that actually deserved to win was Clarkson and Carrie Just my opinion

It's riged and I have known it for a while. There not looking for a great singer or the next big thing there looking for the best rateings and thats it.

American Idol is still on because people still watch it. As far as the RIGHT person winning they do. he fla in Idol is the format. They are equired to sing songs picked from specific eras, and types and all contestants must follow this. However outside of Idol they can do pretty much whatever they want and the fact of the matter is, some music is just more popular and listened to more often than others. Just because someones fav. didn't win doesn't mean the righ person didn't win though. THEY GOT THE VOTES!

Anyone that thinks this show is rigged is just stupid. The show is not rigged....it's just that the people that vote on the show have no ear for music. How else do you explain the popularity of some of today's crappy music. These people vote for things like: "Oh, he's cute and sweet"; "She dresses so well"; "He's so nice, and loves his family"...or crap like that, instead of voting on talent.
Yes, Daughtry should have won last year, but other than that year, the best person has pretty much won all year. You can make a case for Jennifer Hudson, but Fantasia was much better than her from week to week.

Because reality shows are popular now days. And I wouldn't make such a big fit about Daughtry not being a winner (although he should have been) because he didn't need American Idol's title....He's got a hot new record out that's topping the charts anyway! It only helped his music career and get his name out
