If the answer is yes, then couldn't pro-choicers make an arguement that since abortion is in fact legal, why not extend the time alloted for having one until the age of 18? That would be a great thing hanging over children's heads across the nation.

Pro choice is not pro abortion ... contrary to what pro-lifers might argue.

That said, a person, in the United States, is not a person until they are born. Legally, a birth certificate makes a person a legal person.

Abortion is also the act of terminating a pregnancy. Pregnancy stops at the birth of the child, at which point the fetus begins to live on its own. Prior to that point, food and oxygen are provided by the mother's circulatory system. The fetus is alive in the mother. After birth, the fetus becomes a child and is alive independent of the mother.

Killing a living, born, human being is murder. Abortion is a medical procedure that has the unfortunate effect of terminating a pregnancy and ending the life of a potential human being.

I have found that the lower a person's IQ the the Greater is the chance that the person is pro life. It is so foolish to think that "saving" a fetus has no other impact than to bring a fetus to term. What actually happens is clear to those that can see beyond one move on the chess board. When a "fetus" is saved, it consumes resources that could be used to save 12 loved and wanted third world children. But for the low IQ of the pro life movement, they would be able to see the impact of their actions. They are really no better than mass murderers. And they are so stupid they attempt to justify their actions by patting each other on the back and calling other people murderer.
What can be done to enlighten these idiots? Sadly, nothing can be done, their IQ is so low they will never understand what they are doing.

Technically yes. Unfortunately the issue seems to be divided between "Abort any time you want" and "Never Abort ever", both of which are extremes. There are cases where a safe, legal abortion is called for, just like couples shouldn't be seeking abortion every time they get pregnant.

The ultimate goal is to have safe accessable abortions and every sexually active individual aware of and using the other means of birth control - another option is to match people who want to adopt to those who want to abort, and arrange an equable exchange.

Yes - your points are all valid. Already, abortion has had an effect regarding toddlers, as women are now allowed to chase them around the house and drown them in the bath tub and receive sympathy.

I predicted long ago that this would happen. They might actually make it legal until age 18, especially if liberal Democrat politicians are elected.

Now, I notice that we have some liberals chiming in below with their usual mumbo-jumbo and nonsense, trying to insult you.

We should just adopt the Spartan culture a'la 300 and discard the unacceptable specimens. Since I'm a model of human fitness and superior genetics I would have definately been more than acceptable so I'm for it...

Pro-choice people have to walk on thin ice in justifying what they do. Apparently, you have to accept that a beating heart is not life.

Life doesn't start at conception - it started about 4 billion years ago and has been going on ever since. The argument about when life 'starts' is a red herring.

What a moronic statement.
Honestly, where did you go to school? At home with your insane mother reading from the 'wholly babble' during science class?
You have my pity, you really do.
