thnx but i tried there already
this is the only thing i could find there:

"Poe moved to Baltimore, Maryland to stay with his widowed aunt, Maria Clemm, her daughter, Poe's first cousin, Virginia Eliza Clemm, and his brother Henry. In 1829, Poe's foster mother, Frances Allan, died. As was his foster mother's dying wish, John Allan reconciled with his foster son, and began coordinating an appointment for him to the United States Military Academy at West Point. Meanwhile, Poe published his second book, Al Aaraaf Tamerlane and Minor Poems in Baltimore in 1829.
Poe traveled to West Point, and took his oath on July 1, 1830. John Allan married a second time. The marriage, and bitter quarrels with Poe over the children born to Allan out of affairs, led to the foster father finally disowning Poe. Poe decided to leave West Point, and went on strike, refusing to attend formations, classes, or church. He was court-martialed for disobedience. He left for New York in February 1831..."

He attended the United States Military Academy at West Point. He never graduated, he was courtmartialed for disobedience in 1831.

I did answer the part about him not graduating, if he was court martialed that means he did not graduate.

He attended the US military academy at Westpoint

After 6 months Poe apparently contrived to be dismissed from West Point for disobedience of orders.

Edgar Allen Poe did not graduate from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
Because of an array of personal difficulties, he decided to ignore military rules and regulations and was court martialed and dismissed from the Military Academy for gross negligence of duty and disobedience of orders.

He showed up naked to class. Not that that answers the question, but those were one of his offenses.

I also heard he was buried with a cat. Probably not true, but interesting I think.
