Ammmmmm lace undies with matching bras is also refered to as lingerie. I wear those to work and have them on between 8 and 4. i think that that is a long time.

Its a French word that translates as 'linen room'. Way back when women would wear heaps of underwear underneath their clothes , the everyday stuff was usually made out of linen. Linen singlets and petticoats and things. So when they went to the department store to buy these things it would be the 'linen department' or lingerie!

"Linge", derived from the French, "made from linen". Linen evidently, made good sleeping clothes, for those who could afford it at the time (long before silk).
Not much to do with length, obviously.

Otherwise, it has to have a sexy name so women will have another reason to buy it. :)

i love the sexy underwear thing, it's just something else that celebrates how beautiful our female form is. Red lace and PVC not really my things though.
