I'll sitting for my driving test tomorrow but when it comes to the slope part, the car often goes back when i release the brake pedal (even if the handbrake is on).

Get a Haynes Repair Manual at the local Auto Zone or auto parts store in your area. It will troubleshoot and show you how to fix your vehicle. Also on the Auto Zone site has a section for vehicle maintenance

It will show you how to adjust your handbrake. And next time put your car model and year down and you can get a better answer.

Its best not to stretch the handbrake cable as you'll only have to adjust it again. By the sounds of it, your rear brakes may need changing.

Alternatively, when parking on a hill / slope, put the car in gear after you turn the ignition off, that way it wont go anywhere!

you need to tighten your handbrake. parking on a slope what you do is park near the step an turn your wheel fully in the direction that will make your car roll into the step. then the step will hold your car
