Burning to a DVD Is no problem. Its just a question of what format you want the movie in. If you just burn the DVD by dragging the files onto you DVD burner in your computer (through My Computer) then you will probably get files you can't use on you DVD player. Meanwhile, if you have a movie file (files that end with .avi, .mpeg, .mpg, .asf etc...) you can use a program like Nero for example to create something called a VideoCD. This will compress the data either onto a 700mb CD or a DVD that can be viewed on a DVD player. In otherwords, you have to use a software to convert it before you can burn it on a DVD to watch on a DVD player. If you want to watch in on the computer on the otherhand, you can burn it just by dragging the files onto your burner in the My Computer Icon.

Good Luck!

Yes, it is quite easy. First, you need to find a site that will allow downloads of avi files or torrents. You then need to convert those avi files to mpeg. I use winavi to do this. You then need to put those files into an .iso file to use for burning software like Nero or Sonic. The disc can then be burned for your enjoyment. Have fun.

There's a whole bunch of movies I'd like to burn, mostly those with Brad Pitt in, on a big fire.

The time indicator on a DVD skill no longer something. it is all approximately your compression settings and how plenty the disc will carry. If I have been you, i might use a twin Layered DVD to maintain a replica of the action picture.

You can try using DVD Shrink v3.2.0.15, which is downloadable on http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_shrink.cfm.

May I also mention it's free?

You can also try nero (I forgot the link) but it is very popular.
