Compromising is key here. I can understand that she feels like it's her right to choose the name since she's directly going through the pregnancy, but it is you child, too. Therefore, you should be able to comment on her names. What if you both take a week to make a list of all the names you like & then at the end of the week sit down together and go over the 2 lists. If you agree on a name this way, then it doesn't matter who came up with it originally because in the end you both worked together to pick it. If this doesn't work then maybe you can pick a middle name to go along with the first name she picks. *Good Luck*

Where did you learn to spell? I think you'll have to sit down and act mature with a book and just talk. They both of you need to learn to compromise and not over react. Maybe you can use the name you like as a middle name find something that will sound good to go with it. .

Well, if you spoke to me that way, I would not let you have any part of naming my child either! Anyway, if she wants to name the baby, more power to her...she is the one carrying the baby for 9 months, gaining all the weight, GIVING BIRTH, possible stretch marks, etc. Every woman earns the right to name the baby they are carrying! If she wants to let you in on it, feel privileged! And, GO BACK TO SCHOOL!!!

If baby names are THAT big of a deal for you, you need to rethink your priorities. Think about the new little life you helped create.

I think she should name the kid and tell you what the name is two weeks later, obviously you have a serious problem with spelling.

If the names that you are suggesting are anything like the spelling of the words in your question, no wonder she is rejecting all of your suggestions. I would too.

She figures you'll spell the name wrong. So what you should do is go back to school, ignorance can be cured.

Tell her that you have a say on the name cause it's yous as much as hers. It might be her emotions & she might not mean anything about it.
