What I mean is that how do you change the action that happens when you plug in an removable device (i.e. USB).

I use WinXP MCE2005

Example:

When I first inserted my USB into my computer, I accidently chose to open the files whenever I plug it in. Now I want it to do nothing when I plug it in. So how can I change that?

Connect it and let it open the folders. Go into my computer and right click on the usb device and select properties. you will see auto play settings where in you can change the settings that you want to be performed when the device is connected.... all the best.

Open My Computer and right-click on the USB drive and select Autoplay. There you will get a dialog box to walk through each file type and select an action. If you want it to always ask, then select always ask for each file type.
