For a normal production car, will nos damage the engine if used in small quantities.

It should not as long as you install it correctly and you are using small amounts like say, a 50-75 HP boost.. and as long as your engine is in good shape.

Absolutely!

You need to do some engine modifications. At the minimum Forged Pistons and racing head gasket.

Even in small amounts, there is danger of throwing a rod. Also the extra power could ruin the head gasket and the engine could leak oil and water into the cylinders.

That stuff is hard on your engine. I wouldn't do it. Leave that to racing, it's no good for something you have to count on.
