For adding the sidebar feature, my two favorites are Siderbar XP (like Vista), and Yahoo Widgets.
Honestly, I prefer the free Yahoo Widgets better! widgets.yahoo.com
If you really want to wow your friends, install UBUNTU linux as a dual boot www.ubuntu.com, and add the Beryl desktop. It will BLOW them away! Check utube for demos!!!!
