industrial pollution?

most businesses/industries are profit-minded and pay very little attention to social responsibilty and hence polluting the surroundings.
tell me some ways the environment is affect due to such industries.

I am not sure I agree with the premise that profit minded business pays little attention to social responsibility.
It is bad business to kill your employees and customers and that ultimately will hurt your profits and have a negative effect on your life and that of your children. Most businesses have become aware of the negative effect of pollution and have therefore taken steps to prevent the destruction of the earth and its inhabitants i.e. customers, but that realization has not reached the socialists who are attempting to inculcate their views upon all of us who can then be indebted to them for our miserable slave existence. I grew up in a neighborhood known as LOVE CANAL. and the truth about that is NOT found in a film by that fat dude um what's his name, but the problems were actually caused more by greedy local government officials who bought the land for $1 withl a provision in the contact that it not be built on, but instead they built a school, tore open the clay cap, and built 300 houses that opened up the pollutants into the unsuspecting home mortage holders basements and then they sued the company which had provided jobs for my city put them out of business and began the complete ruin of our community and these individuals have not been hung in the town square nor does anyone even know their names, it is a disgrace!
