Do we not remember the case of John Mark Karr, who confessed to murdering Jonbenet Ramsey until it was proven that he absolutely could not have done it?

Do we think that sickos and criminals don't lie? Do we believe that there's no way that Mohammed is lying in order to achieve two things:

1. Turning himself into the martyr that his religion encourages, and

2. Protecting his savage little cronies so they can carry out their plans to kill us all?

Is that such a difficult thing to believe?

Tom: Of course he is. It's like that with all terrorists. But that doesn't mean he's not lying about others being involved.

Tangerine: I did not say, nor did I imply, that he's innocent. I absolutely, 100% believe that he had a high level of involvement. That doesn't mean he acted alone. Nor does the fact that he claims to have acted alone.

no, it isn't that difficult to believe. But you are asking people who support the PATRIOT act, so good luck with that one ;)

People lie when they confess to crimes all the time. That's the reason why the police don't reveal certain information about unsolved crimes to the media. If a person confesses to a crime and yet doesn't know key information that hasn't been reported, it usually indicates that he/she is innocent.

EDIT: I wasn't saying that he was innocent, either, but since you brought up John Mark Karr, I thought I should mention this to illustrate the fact that not all confessors are guilty.

In KSM case, he's proud of what he did. It's like a badge of honor to him.
