Which of these two grim fates would you choose if there were no other options and why?

I'd rather be killed by a bear. My reason: We're both land mammals. A bear'd slash me up, but even if he tore my limbs off, I'd quickly bleed to death. End of story.
Fighting a shark is scarier if you ask me. A shark swims much better than I do, and I can't always see where I'm being attacked from. I have no hope of escape, and he'll likely bite off one of my body parts while I'm still alive.
A bear is closer to being an equal opponent and is more personable than a shark. Plus, hikers would find me later and be like ",EWW!" No one would ever know what happened to me if I was eaten by a shark. They'd say I drowned, and that'd be embarrassing.

I'd rather be eaten by a shark. For some reason the thought of dying in the water actually seems soothing to me. Floating around while dying seems better than being on land and getting smashed with claws by a 400lb bear.
Definately a shark.

I'm thinking the bear would be better, hopefully it would slice an artery in my neck and I would bleed to death before it actually started eating me. Sharks don't usually eat people (not that I have heard of bears eating people either), they mistaken us for food and once they take a bite they realize we aren't a seal and I would probably end up with only 1 leg while my blood made other sharks come and take a bite until I finally bled to death or drown.

I choose bear because bears kill you first and save you for later. Sharks eat you alive...plus I hate the ocean. As long as the bear doesn't rip out my bowel before I am dead. I live in Canada so watch me walk outside now and be malled.

Wow. They both seem painful. I've heard that between cutting nerves, salt water, and razor sharp teeth you don't really feel a shark bite and by the time you drown you are probably unconsious from the blood loss so let's say a shark attack.

The shark would probably involve drowning, too. So I think I'd take the bear.

I think a shark would be quicker, their teeth are like surgical instruments, They would slice you up so quick. A Mauling takes longer I hear many bears will only eat the fatty parts of most animals it eats, and muck of the time the meal is still alive. So he would eat your stomach and butt and it would hurt

The shark, because if I knew for sure there was no way out I could drowned myself in an attempt to make it painless.
