There is only one betting round after each new card is dealt. The deal is 2 cards to each player, bet, 3 cards face up (the flop), bet, 1 card face up (the turn), bet, 1 card face up (the river) bet, everyone still in the hand reveals and best hand wins.

Antes are money that every player puts in before the first two cards are dealt. Blinds are forced bets--the player two to the left of the dealer puts in an amount equal to the opening bet, and the person to the left of the dealer puts in half that amount. If you are playing limit, this basically means that the person 2 to the left of the dealers is forced to "open" the hand with a compulsory bet. In a non-tournament situation for Hold Em, you never use antes and always use blinds (it's an integral part of the way the game works, strategically). In a tournament, it will often be the case that you have both antes and blinds in the later stages of the tournament.

There is only one round of betting after each new card is dealt. Any person at the table can Raise during a round, if they do then it will go all the way around the table again until it gets backed to the person that raised. All other players must call their raise, fold their cards or re-raise. (these are rules to No-Limit holdem) In limited games the amount people can raise is controlled, I don't recommend playing this type of poker though.

Everyone has to match the Ante's at the start of each hand

Only the people sitting to the left of the dealer button, (The big and little blind) has to match the blinds. Big blind matches the opening bet, and the little blind matches half of the opening bet.

Hope that helps. It's a really fun game to play once you learn how to. They have indepth explanations of the game all over the net at poker sites just go look.

After the flob, turn and river there is a round of betting. With this you can either check (no bet), call (matching a previous raise), raise of folds. The round only ends when all bets are equal i.e.

player one checks, player two raises 10, player three calls (adds 10), player one re-raises 20 (puts in 10+20), player two calls (adds 10) and player three folds.

Players one and two are now equal both putting in 30, player three has folded and is therefore out.

The number of raises is generally limited to two.

There are two blinds a big blind and a small blind, to the left of the dealer the first person plays the small blind and the next person plays the big blind (double the small blind).

An ante is a nominal fee played by everyone at the table, the blinds still have to be placed as described above.

Hope this helps

It depends on the rules of the game. In a "no-limit" game, betting can go on forever. In a "fixed-limit" game, there can be up to 3 (usually) rounds of betting after each card.

Everyone pays an ante and it's the same for everyone. Many versions of hold'em don't use ante's.

Only the first two players after the dealer button pay a blind. The first pays the 'small blind' which is half the minimum bet. Next is the 'big blind' which is the minimum bet.

i only know the texas hold em rules and the number of rounds depends on the style of play, in limit games, you are only allowed to raise a maximum of four times the blind so if the blind was £5 then you have to raise in those limits by £5 up to someone betting £20 and then you can only call or fold. This applies to the first two rounds before cards are shown and when the three cards are shown, the next two rounds where the fourth and fifth card are shown you start bets with double the blind and again can raise up to a maximum of three times to four times the starting bet for that round so in this case you would need to start with £10 if someone bets and can keep raising in £10's up to £40.

In pot limit games and no limit games, you can just keep raising any amount up to the limit which will be the amount in the pot or your cash and can have any number of rounds.

Ante's are when everyone puts in the same amount to start the pot off.

Blinds apply to the first two people left of the dealer and a big blind is the betting amount for the first two rounds and the small blind is half the big blind. Small blind is for the first person left of the dealer, big blind for the second on the left. These cannot be avoided even if you want to fold. Blinds are only put in to start the game off, not each round.

In most casinos in a limit game the maximum number of raises is usually 4 bets per round, unless they are head up then you can raise and re-raise all you want.In hold'em you have 4 betting rounds and in stud its 5 betting rounds. And an ante is a forced bet by all players and is usually 5-10 percent of the big blind. Blinds are also forced bets by the player next to the left hand side of the button. Hope that helped, good luck.

The host determins how many rounds of betting are allowed. Typically it's each person is allowed raise twice. They can raise once, and then re-raise.

Antes: You are required to put in a certain amount of chips before you are dealt a hand. Even if you leave the table, this is required.

Blinds: This is usually in small and big form. The first person to the left of the deal puts in a small blind (ex: 5 chips), and the second person places in a big blind (ex: 10 chips).

Antes are not common until the final table to get chips moving faster. Blinds are extremely helpful so everyone plays and doesn't just fold their hands right away.
