Bootlegging in music & movies. R U just as sick & tired as i am of it?!?

Question

I'm so sick and tired of people who think that it's right & fair to sell bootleg copies of music & movies! These people don't understand that they are doing a disservice to the community & the ones who made the product! When you sell a $5 CD or DVD to the public that is bootleg, both the seller & buyer are taking a chance. The seller risks getting his azz caught & the buyer has a risk of buying a product that may not be worth watching because the product is underproduced! Bootleggers have no f----n business living or breathing! They cheat the public out of their hard-earned money all because they're too damn cheap, stubborn, and selfish to take $15 and buy some QUALITY S--T! It's all about QUANTITY to them! If i see one more on the street corner, it's a wrap! If you buy a CD that just came out & choose to copy, that's one thing. It's another to take money out of the artists' pockets & they're forced to work double time just to make up what they stole! Who feels the way i do about this?

Every time I see a question on here about where to get free music or movie downloads, I link to one of two web pages: either the Recording Industry Association of America's page on how free music is illegal, or the Motion Picture Association of America's page on how downloading is illegal. If they ask how to copy a DVD, I link to a page from the MPAA that tells how copying copyrighted materials is illegal. The pages are:

I always put a remark like EXCELLENT F(R)EE site with the link, too.

I agree with you, Nate. If I steal a candybar from a store, I'm arrested. I make a point of supporting the artists I like, so I buy CDs and I buy the overpriced T-shirts at the concert.

i think there are a million and a half better things to get THIS upset over. i don't think someone selling a bootleg copy of a concert is going to affect your life to the point of restlessness. if i'm wrong well then you're still a p**** for crying about it.
