I got a semiformal dress, and I dont know how short is to short. I am 5 3" and the fress comes to about 5 inches above my knees. It is really amazing tho. I love it, it is white with lots of sparkles...Please give me ur opinion. Is short, sluttish?

a skirt is never to short!
- make shore you have tights underneath to protect modesty

5 inches above really is not too short, in general -depends on the people you will be with, and how much you care bout their opinion.
Spend a few minutes in the mirror moving arund to see what might show if you are dancing, or sitting, beding over, or reaching for something, just so you know.

if you love the dress than I say wear it. who cares what anyone else has to say. if your happy, I'm sure you'll look stunning
but realisitically: wearing a skirt for something fancy
the skirt/ dress should not come far (if at all) above you finger tips..that is standing up straight with your arms at your side and fingers elongated.
which that comes about 10 to 11 inches above my knee (but then I'm 5'10'')

If you are going to a formal event, like a school dance or something, I would wear something a little longer. I would save that dress for a night out on the town with the girls.

I say if you can put on your heels and sit down in front of your dad without worry then you should very easily be able to wear that dress for the semiformal.
Take a pic post it well tell you for sure...jk.

the only way i can tell for sure if i see u in it but 5" in not that much once u can bend over and u cant see what underwear u are wearing then it is not short

It's definately not too short (way better than some miniskirts), but if you feel unsure about it, you could try wearing skinny jeans or something under it.

short is when it shows you underwaare or you *** but other than that it is probably really cute. o and too short is when you buy something short and cute it shorter. i tease my friend about that lol. hope i helped!

It sounds ok. Mini's are in right now. But I wouldn't go any shorter.
