Sorry but it's american culture. I have yet to see a "black" president in a movie unless the planet was about to be destroyed. Tell me what that is all about. No point voicing your opinion, the "MAjority" in this country will blame it on "coincidence" and "they didn't mean it that way" or whatever excuse. I truely understand your question, and i understand why it was banned in other countries also. But i think that your question is falling on deaf ears. The "Majority" is above racisim, from their point of view. Theirs always a "reason" it is ok. Anyhow i apologize that you should have to ask a question like that, if i had the power i would let those things get screened before the director can roll 1 peice of film.

Something tells me you're just a troll looking to stir up trouble.

If not, please explain how a movie depicting a battle between the two most badass armies of Antiquity is an insult to your people.

Keep in mind that given the centuries of battle, conflict, genocide and conquest that's been through since, the odds of you having any genetic ties to either side in the war are slim to none. Hell, the people living in what we call the British Isles during the same time period were all killed off by invaders. Every British Citizen alive today is descended from invaders who came, killed, stole and stayed.

And then there are the Americas. The Aztecs are extinct, the Mayans are extinct and there aren't many full blooded Native Americans left.

As an American, I officially apologize for the way your ancestry was falsely represented in the film 300. PLEASE forgive the very ignorant/insensitive comments made by those above. Often, we as a nation negate the values of other peoples in a shamless attempt to mask our growing narcissism. TOO OFTEN we assume a self-righteous stance on global concerns. If someone had made a fictional satirical account on 9/11, or slavery of blacks, ooooh the backlash. As an advocate of free speech and anti-oppression, I say preach on!!! Get the word out, protest in the streets, shake something up!!! Overzealous demonstrations are the only thing the American public responds to. Boycott the movie!

In fiction there is poetic license, which is why its fiction. Fiction is not truth, nor is it meant to be, neither is fantasy. If you want to rewrite the truth and believe that Persia was something it wasn't, then go right ahead, however that doesn't make it true either. The real insult here is how religious zealots destroy the truth and pretend they are something they are not.

If the truth is an insult, and your life is a lie, then consider it a statement of the HoopStar.

Why are you so hypersensitive? Have you ever considered why it is ok for you and your people to insult others?
