Perhaps you have bad taste in clothes?
I think you need to be more specific? Does your shrink criticize your clothes for being too revealing? Or too conservative? Or needing to be pressed? Does your shrink not like the colours you wear?
It really depends...

I don't know. Unless your clothes are somehow tied to your emotional issues then you need to tell him to mind his own business. A shrink is supposed to help you! Not make you feel worse about yourself! Jesus, wait till he gets a suicidal patient....he can't be criticizing clients. SOOO unprofessional.

Don't they make you lay down on a couch and dim the lights so you can tell them your problems? I think your shrink is so bored that he/she has nothing else better to do but analyze your fashion.

Find a new doctor, theyt shouldn't let your personal appearance get in the way of helping your mental status. Unless your big problem is about being taken seriously at work and your walking around in hooker heels and halter top.

Well . . . if we can assume that one of the facets of your treatment concerns your self-esteem, perhaps the comments are directed towards your appearance. If this is true, then one might hope your therapist has reinforced with you the fact that your sense of "self" radiates from the inside: the best way for others to like you is for you to first like yourself.
Good luck!

If you have a judgemental shrink, you're going to a bad one.

Sounds like your shrink needs therapy if he/she is obsessed with your attire.

Maybe he/she thinks that it expresses something about how you are feeling. I know I try to dress "extra-sane" on therapy days
