can you still use sidekick 2 on prepaid?

Sidekick 2s are no longer sold by t-mobile, but i just bought a sidekick 2 on the internet and when i recieve it, can i go to t-mobile and have it activated and set for prepaid plan ($1 a day for unlimited internet anywhere)

this brings up another question, anyone who owns sk2 or sk3 please help:
Is a prepaid plan worth it?

no, not if you use more than 300 minutes a month
