There are rivers on the island, so it's not all salt water.
They were on a plane with lots of other people who died. Some have died since. There would've been a lot of luggage onboard, so that's a fair amount of clothes.
There was, as has been mentioned the Dharma Initiative shampoo etc. Not sure how much, if any, of that is left since the hatch imploded.
Hurley's still so fat because he eats a lot. Nobody on the island is starving, they've got plenty of food. There's vegetation, fish, the boars, and the stuff they salvaged from the Dharma stations.

2. There was one scene where Kate was cutting Sawyer's hair.
3. They have sissors.

Because monkeys make great hairstylists and I hear sea water is FANTASTIC for your hair. Ha jk, might at well give a stupid response to a question you already know the answer too. Ummm it's a TV show, don't try to rationalize it, it's a losing battle.

Not just the hair but their beards also. Sometimes they are clean shaven. Their clothes don't look old and dirty.

yes and they keep clean looking not grundgy which I think they would be hair so lustrious and shiney, and none of them seem to have lost any weight... and without any nutrition how come they have so much energy. BUT I still am addicted to it .....

Much as I love Lost, I have had to come to terms with the fact that it is NOT REALITY, it is a TV SHOW.

Because it's TV. Even when they aren't suppose to have makeup on they have it on. They are trying to impress the viewing audience.
