I, along with many men get a complaint called "shopping hips" when accompanying women shopping. The medical term in Latin would be Taberna Coxen. It is a known fact that the female form has a different skeletal structure able to withstand different forces on the spine and hips. When shopping, women are prone to sudden changes of direction, instant stops and immediate acceleration "when spotting a bargain". The male finds that these disproportional forces act in a manner that distorts the hips because of the flexing trying to keep pace with the woman. It maybe that women, with their child rearing hips, have developed muscular ability to cope with this. I have tried to obtain an exemption form from shopping but my female Dr thinks I am trying to "pull a fast one"
What do you think, should we be spared this dangerous activity?

Yes - with a couple of exceptions - for example, while I suffer the same in the local Supermarket, I find I am suddenly bestowed with similar abilities to a female while visiting my local electrical or PC retailer or wandering through a car supermarket. I think it may therefore be something to do with the oxygen mix in food and clothing stores being incompatible with male lungs, causing drowsiness and irratibility.

Your problem is right in front of you. You're too quite and shy. What you've been doing all this time is waiting for people to say something to you. Guess what, its not working. Yes it may work for some people, but not for everyone. Guys have different ways of picking up girls. Some guys are flat out funny, others do the bad-boy drill. We do whatever our game is, and we know it won't work for everyone. Try this on for size, approach people yourself. If you're thinking that you can't do it, then give yourself a confidence booster by bringing someone you know already to help you. If you're thinking you won't do it, then I'm waisting my time. Also, if your unsure what to say, then practice. Just look at people and think in your head what to say. Then little by little, you'll have more things to say. Then, try them out. Since right now your only 23 (same as me), you have time to find that special someone.

Well guess as you grow older you change your mind on some things. I am working 50 - 60 hours a week and what time I get to spend with my wife no matter what we are doing is fine by me. Yep I will go shopping with her just to be able to spend more time with her. Sorry I agree with your doctor I mean it never hurts when you run to the fridge for a beer does it?

Try a male Doctor! I'm sure he'd give you a sick-note!
Wonder if the female one would give me one! I'm female but I missed out on the child bearing hips!

I quite agree, but not necessarily because of the health detriments to males. I personally feel all men should be banned from shopping as they get in the way , hog ques and look thoroughly miserable, but worse still , men with pushchairs, no that gets my goat!

Men hunt. Women shop. I hate shopping with my husband and I leave him to look at the magazines, the dvd's etc etc and meet him in the cafe afterwards. Much better.
So yes, I'd support you.

I suggest flexing your hips at least 3 times a day in a somewhat intensive session...
repeat daily for one month...
in the haze of this process please remember that sometimes you must sacrifice to bring a more pleasant situation about.

No man should be spared.
The shopping experience should be equally shared especially when it is family shopping/ food shopping.
All women DO NOT find it fun and we like to share the misery.

I just hate holding the purse by the dressing room. Especially when there is not a chair.
