Some women never get stretchmarks....I was one of those lucky women. Ask your mom, grandma etc. if they had stretchmarks as they are supposed to be hereditary.

Honestly girl, I was the same way. All excited about being pregnant you don't think about the strech mark thing right away. Than and it hit's you and kind of freaks you out! But, I am only 105pds. I gained 40pds. when I was pregnant and didn't recieve one strech mark. 3 times a day I used a lotion called "Cocoa Butter" It's the best. I promise you that. But, when you do use it make sure you use it from top to bottom of your body. When your pregnant everything grows. And strech marks can appear anyplace on ur body when ur preg. Good Luck and Congrads. By the way about 5-6mths. through is when some people do see them on there belly, butt, thighs, chest, and so on. I'm sure you'll be ok if you start to use this lotion. Let's us all know when you have your baby! Would love to hear how big he is! Take Care

I am 32weeks pregnant and have not seen any strech marks as yet. I recently started to put on alot of weight over the past two weeks or so I am now 122 lbs a whooping 7 lbs more than my last visit to the doctor two weeks ago. I asked my doctor at my last visit about the stretch marks and he said some people see it as early as 20weeks and some later in their 3rd trimester, some even go straight through without seeing the marks and after birth they appear. You should not be scared of this because it is expected with the exception of the rare occasions where some people don't get them. but for those of us who do, what else can we say, "look at them as trophy marks.............the marks which we bear from our little offsprings."

I'm 29 weeks pregnant with my frist as well, also a boy, and I've gained about 18 lbs. I thought stretch marks were inevitable because I was so tiny to begin with, but thus far, they haven't appeared. I've heard some women saying that they might pop up anytime during pregnancy, and can become more noticeable after giving birth. You might not get any, depending on your luck and genes, so try not to worry too much. I just keep moisturizing and try not to scratch, but lately it's becoming a bit harder to keep my hands away! While there's nothing you can do to prevent them, moisturizing and not scratching will lessen their ugly appearance. Good luck!

It fairly would not;'t count number too plenty what you loose as long as you preserve your abdomen moisturized. the belief is to assist your pores and skin stretch, yet start up now for the reason which you will choose it. I even have heard cocoa butter and olive oil paintings fairly nicely. The olive oil is a splash messy, so I used it at nighttime purely. I nevertheless have been given stretch marks approximately my seventh month when I have been given fairly huge fairly rapid. There ought to no longer be something you're able to do inspite of the indisputable fact that using fact I even have heard they're hereditary too. Ask the girls on your loved ones what their reviews haven been.

I never had any stretch marks from having my children. I believe that the reason is that I never gained too much weight. If you do not gain more than 15 to 20 pounds, when you are pregnant, and your skin is healthy skin, you should not get any, either. I did put cocoa butter on my skin to help it expand. Still, I gained 14 pounds with each son, and the babies were born healthy. I do not think it affected how large they grew, either.........one is 6'3", one is 6'2", and I am only 5'5". Watch what you eat, stay healthy!

I gained 28 pounds when I was pregnant and the day I delivered my daughter I couldn't see any stretch marks. After she was born and my skin wasn't stretched to the limit I HAD stretch marks. So don't breathe that sigh of relief until after your child is born. Maybe you'll get lucky and have none!

Well, whenever my weight fluctuates (usually about 15 lbs) my fat has always centered on my belly so I think I had an advantage there: I got some strech marks on my lower abdomen, below my belly starting in the 8th month. Think of them as a right of passage!!

Hmmmm if I remember correctly I spent a small fortune (which I really couldn't afford to do ) slathering my breasts and belly in cocoa butter creme. (was supposed to prevent stretch marks) and then in the last 2 weeks of pregnancy they all popped out anyway.
but to awnser your question...it's different for everyone...depends on how big you get and the genetic elasticity in your skin as well as your age when becoming pregnant.
