No. It's terrible if you have pet hair or your own long hair. It's just like fly strips, tape - think of how long a big flat piece of tape would last picking up hair .. lol
Good for confetti, though!

I bought a Swiffer Flick when they first came out. I'm sorry to say it didn't clean my carpets. It might be okay if someone had big "crumbs" to clean up, like under a baby's high chair or something, but it didn't pick up hair.
Honestly, the best thing I have found for the days in-between vacuuming is one of those old fashion carpet sweepers. The kind with the rollers that you just push along the carpet (not plugged in--sometimes you see them in restaurants, I remember my Mom had one when I was a kid.) I bought mine from Wal-Mart (it's a Hoover) and it works great. I think I paid about $30 for mine and I have had no problems. It picks up all the dog hair.

No, don't bothor. Get a Bissel Bagless Powerforce from Wal-Mart. I was just there yesterday and they were $60. This is the best vacuum you will ever own, and it rated higher than the Dyson Pet Vacuum ($600) by Consumer Reports for picking up pet hair.

Yes, you need something more heavy duty for hair. Invest in a really good Dyson vacuum. I want to get one and know a few people with them, they swear by their vacuum on how great it is.

I got a mini vac for picking up small messes. It sits on a charger so theres no cords. Works really well. We use it on our car too. Not sure how much it costed, my fiance bought it. But he doesn't buy hardly anything thats too expensive.
