It is the largest button on the keyboard after the space bar. It makes smaller letter capitalized , also does the top row over the numbers. It is on bothsides of the keyboard just under the CapsLock/A and just under the enter

There are 2 of them, one on each side of the last row of buttons on your keyboard, with an upward pointing arrow, the buttons you use to shift between normal (small) letters to capital letters.

Obviously you used it to type a capital "W" (unless you hit the Caps Lock key, then pressed it again). But if you are asking because you have either read or been instructed to use this "Shift" key, but did not know that this was the name given for the key(s) with the hollow arrow on it/them, in order to shift from lower to upper case, then that is the answer...

Some typewriters have (or did have) the word Shift on them, not an arrow...

They are on the right and left side of the keyboard. One on each side just above the bottom keys. They are slighly larger in size.

There are 2.

In the QWERTY (typewriter) section, not the NumPad or Arrow key section:

Under the Caps Lock key on the left side.

Under the Enter (Return) key on the right side.

The little up arrow under the capslock or under the carriage return.

On the right and left side of keyboard, left side: under "caps lock" but above "ctrl"; and right side: under "enter" but above "ctrl".

Good luck.
