What size softball glove do I buy?

What size softball glove should I buy for an 11 yr old? They will be playing with a 12" softball this year and she plays short stop. Does she need something larger than 12" glove?

First of all find something that is comfortable,I have been playing competitive softball for 20+ years and I use a small glove, I also play shortstop, the reason that I use a small glove is so I can easily find the ball and get rid of it in a hurry.I bought a Muzuno glove 14" could not find and get rid of the ball so I switched back to my "baseball" sized glove.To me your glove should feel like an extension of your arm, you know like it is part of you so I really do not think that a certain size is necessary just go with the right size and feel for her.Good Luck

I quite have been taking part in softball for two decades and that i take advantage of a 13.25 inch glove.I play outfield and love this length.maximum infielders in softball use a 12.5 glove.Get as huge a glove as you are able to that feels comfortable on your hand.

If the only positon she will be playing is short stop than you should buy her the smallest glove she can catch a ball in.

Basically get her a glove she likes and can close.

I'm not sure about exact measurements, but get her something "mid-sized," since she will be playing the middle infield. Not too big or she can't get the ball out of the glove as cleanly. Good luck.

softball gloves aren't the same for all positions. wth are you talking about. i've only played for UT softball, not like that makes me any smarter... wth are you talking about.

no 12inc is just perfect....
a softball glove is same in size for all positions so for ur kid 12inc is jus perfect......

jus ask da shopkeeper if it wil fit in her hand. da ball has to and will fit in da glove.....
