I think generally yes. I think the art of being honest without hurting someone else's feelings is something all parents should teach their kids along with manners. I think many times we don't want to hear the truth though.

There is a terrific book written by feminist psychotherapist Harriet Lerner, called "The Dance Of Deception".
Basically, deception is part of the human condition. When somone can't lie, we say that they lack social inhibition, and they are not very functional becuase of it.

Most of the time? Yes. Sometimes you lie so that people won't worry so much, or to spare someone's feelings. White lies are ok by me, as long as its not done to hurt someone.

For the most part Yes. But there are times that it's better to say nothing than to say the truth.

I dont believe in lying so I tell it like it is. Sometimes it backfires on me, like some people rather hear a lie than the truth(get it?) I sometimes burn myself, hurt others. And no regrets.

I believe it is but as with any policy or rule, there are always, without a doubt, exceptions.

Depends....sometimes it's better to salvage hurt feelings by tossing in a little "white lie" once in a while.

Not in all cases. I try to keep my private life away from my professional life, because of people's prejudices. Its unfortunate.
