No, they are not.
They have a sort of agreement which makes it easier to travel between EEC and Turkey and they are a sort of privileged partner to the EEC.
But before they can really join there are some issues that need to be resolved. I think of the problem with Greece, the human rights, the Koerds issue, their economy (inflation has to go under certain number) etc
It's not even sure that after the trial period they are in now, they will be granted full membership...

The EEC (European Economic Community) hasn't been called the EEC since the Maastricht Treaty in 1992, when the 'Economic' was dropped and it became the EC. Since the ratification of the treaty it's been known as the EU - European Union (although being picky the EU consists of three 'pillars' of which the EC is one). Turkey isn't a member state but is a "candidate country" and will probably join in the next few years.

Seeming we are an ECONOMIC COMMUNITY, and not a CULTURAL COMMUNITY,

97% is in Asia Minor and the remaining 3% is in Europe and this is in Istanbul where there is a bridge which divides Europe from Asia.

No, not yet. There are talks about it. They are next in line to join the EU.

lots of conflicts regarding to accept it as part of EU or not we will see what they come up with
