I think they scream for attention. I personally like to squish bugs.

I never scream or run from bugs, I actually like many kinds of bugs. So no, I don't step on them and squish them on purpose either (except mosquito's). You should look at some bugs sometimes, there are beautiful beetles in the coolest colors!

Oh, and many bugs are good to eat too. Grasshoppers, crickets, mealworms... many folks in the US & Europe think it's gross but most of the rest of the world eats them and not just 'cause they are poor and don't have anything else. Most bugs taste a little like nuts, they're excellent.

i have no idea why the other girls scream.
i'm a 15 yr old girl, and when i went to camp last summer, i killed all the bugs in the house(a mammoth moth and a grass hopper that just wouldn't die and countless mosquitoes and a daddy long legs) with a can of bug spray and a thick, hardcover book i found that wasn't anyone's. the other girls stood out in the cold, shivering. :) some boys, however, were nice enough to help me kill all of them(bugs, i mean.)
i wouldn't say it is actually enjoyable, but it's a great way to let go of some of the stress bottled up, and kill all the bugs.
to be honest, it's a litte annoying when all these girls draw up their feet and scream. just step on it, for god's sake.

by the way, the mammoth moth was big as my fist. it was a bit disgusting when it half exploded. you could hear the girls scream from 5 miles away.

I don't like spiders because was outside shooting a movie and when I go inside there was a spider in my bra! I hate the sound bugs make when you squish them but I like some bugs... from a distance. For April Fools Day, one of my best friends and I found a dead moth and painted to look like a "Death's Head Moth"... the Silence of the Lambs kind. We showed it to my other best friend. So I had to touch that moth to paint it but it all depends on what type of bug it is if I will touch it or not.

I'm not scared of bugs. I actually like to catch them and play with them. I don't enjoy stepping on them and squishing them though. That's just mean.

I can't say I actually enjoy stepping and squishing them, but I am not afraid of them.
"Good bugs" like some spiders I put outside. Brown recluses I must admit I feel okay about killing them because I do not want them to harm my son or my husband.
Grasshoppers I kill with a vengeance because they will destroy my gardens.

It depends on the bug. i run and scream from roaches. I don't even like being near dead roaches! lol Spiders kind of give me the creeps also, but I can kill one no prob. Any other kind of bug does not really bother me as long as it is not on me at the time. I enjoy killing bugs who have just bitten me (such as a fire ant). But I don't really seek out bugs to kill for pleasure.

I never run from bugs. I don't necessarily enjoy stepping on them and squishing them, though. If they aren't bothering me, I just leave them alone.
