i mean the strong ones, like neodymium, not homemade magnitized needles/nails.

Neodymium magnets are very strong in comparison to their mass, but are also mechanically fragile and the most powerful grades lose their magnetism at temperatures above 176 degrees Fahrenheit or 80 degrees Celsius.

If you just leave it in an isolated place, I believe it will stay magnetized forever.

As far as I know, I have a magnet with me since I was a kid till now. It should last forever it nothing happens to it.
