Translator-
-a person who translates written messages from one language to another
-interpreter: someone who mediates between speakers of different languages.
-a program that translates one programming language into another.
-Translation is an activity comprising the interpretation of the meaning of a text in one language—the source text—and the production of a new, equivalent text in another language—called the target text, or the translation.
-In broadcasting, a translator is an FM radio station or a TV station which acts as a full-duplex repeater. Just as a verbal translator (person) listens in one language and speaks in another, a broadcast translator receives a signal from one channel and transmits it again, usually on another channel or other frequency assignment. This is common in the Americas, especially in the United States, and in the mountains.
-An intermediate system that forwards RTP packets with their synchronization source identifier intact. Examples of translators include devices that convert encodings without mixing, replicators from multicast to unicast, and application-level filters in firewalls.
-An electronic device that converts pulses into the correct switching sequence which will operate the motor one step for each pulse received.
-Relay system that picks up distant television signals, converts the signals to another channel to avoid interference, and retransmits them into areas that the original television signal could not reach.
......all the best.
