I want to start a portfolio, the only thing is, i don't even know what a portfolio is. I want to learn the basics of the stock market. The lingo, how to get started...without usuing those big complicated words. Is there a place I can go online? Any suggestions?

hey therez a virtual stock market and u can visit the site "moneybhai.com" have a feel of stock world. initially u'll be given some virtual money to start with and u cn buy and sell shares and have the real feel of it... so go ahead...

how to get there:
at the main page click on personal finances
then on the right hand there is a list of links; click on 'course catalog" under "investing classrooms"... there you go
