dump him, you don't want that in a boyfriend or girlfriend, they are the ones that stalk you after you break up and call you and hang up. He is not respecting you. he is treating you like a possession

There is only one rule for possessive relationships; RUN AWAY NOW!
Seriously, possessive relationships only get worse and you either walk away from such nonsense or you become a victim, a prisoner, eventually and abused person.
You can rationalize the possessiveness all you want, but the bottom line is this person wants to own you and control you.
Get out or suffer the consequences.

leave him and find another. The longer you are with this person the worse it will get. With a person that is possesive, there is not a way to change this behavior.

You don't give details about how he is possessive, It sounds like you don't like it. A good rule of thumb: If something makes you feel uncomfortable, then there is probably something wrong. Just a word of warning, he wont "get better" and this type of behavior can turn abusive.

he is probably possessive because he is insecure he might be afraid of losing you. U need to let him know its your life and that its OK to be care but its not ok to be controlling. All that does is make u unhappy and you need to do what makes you happy. Life is short you only get one chance live it like there is no tomarrow, even if it means leaveing him.

the place is his female buddy, did she go away him, or did she merchandise on your platonic frndshp, or did you scare him away with your insistence on turning friendship into romance, possibly he did no longer see you as a romantic liasion, only as a buddy, yet you develped thoughts, if it extremely is so then only forget approximately is and don't bypass one-sided affair, unrequited love is hell, and if its only your friendship which you extremely want lower back, then bypass and make the 1st circulate & apologise(in front of the female buddy), and then be overjoyed with your romance someplace else.

Get a new one. Possessive traits are not to be confused with love. They are a sign of a problem!

honestly i get a tad posessive at times to, but its not to be a dick, its because i really truly care about my girl and dont want anything happening to her. but then again she has cheated but idk if that helps you lol.
if its a serious problem try talking to him about it. if he loves you he'll keep it down a bit but if he doesnt and is obnoxious, you might wanna re-think the relationship. sorry. =\
good luck though (:
