How do you land that? I usually hit the ground hard because I don't know how to land when I jump of things high in the air. And don't say "you shouldn't be doing that" I don't care :P I just want to know how to properly land a jump!

Well with jumping experience, from things like roofs and trees is that when you get close to the ground lift one leg higher then the other so you automatically roll, try to roll onto your hip then the rest of your body, if it takes that much. Yes you will end up on your butt but hey you made the jump. also try to add presure when you come down so that you legs slow you down.

You hit the ground hard. It's as simple as that. You can learn how to roll when you hit to lessen the impact, but in the end, it's a rough sport that abuses your body.

There's a reason most jumpers are retired by 40. Even if you avoid a crippling injury, eventually your body just can't take it anymore. Premature Arthritis sets in and you find yourself with joints that are 40 years older than your peers.

But learn to roll when you hit the ground. Be careful, as your collar bone can snap like a twig, but if you get the knack of landing with a roll, you can add a good three to five years to your jumping days.

theres no way to like gracefully land a jump off of very high heights. just try to keep your body tight and try to land with your feet towards the ground, do not try to lock your knees because you'll end up breaking your kneecaps. so bend your legs slightly and fall with your arms up not down, this will help you land lighter. good luck
