Norman Greenbaum only said that he "wanted to go to the place that's the best". Who knows, it's a great unsolved mystery; could be something wonderful or nothing at all. Hope it turns out for you as you want it.

We all should prepare for the time that our own physical body dies. In order to prepare for a smooth transition we should strive to fulfill in our own way the flowering of our spirit so that we may return to God as a spiritual being that is a wiser, kinder, more loving and in all other ways a closer representation of God who made us in his/her image. I also think that it is important to eliminate from ourselves those aspects which are incompatible with the "Mind of Christ" (1 Corinthians 2:16). Death is a freeing of our soul that opens up new ways that we can be of help to our God, our family and our whole community of souls.

Spirit in the sky? Hate to disillusion you, death really is the end. No more spirit in the sky, that's just 1960's nostalgia. There are no: gods devils etc. Enjoy the present.

There is no where else to go.
