If women want to be treated equally in the workplace, why do many of them sabotage each other?

I do think many women want to be treated equally in the workplace. However, that doesn't mean that they want to treat everyone else equally. Often times, people just want to get ahead at any cost. The repercussions of their actions aren't really recognized until one day, they find themselves cold and alone. It's really a matter of principle. Those that truly want to be respected will treat everyone they come across with respect. Those that want instant gratification or something of the sort will backstab and excel at the art of sabotaging.

Plus, a lot of women are callous and selfish and power-hungry... NEVER a good combination.

I think that most women have this need for acceptance and approval from people in general, and through the years that has driven women to do some amazing things, but these days it's folded in on itself and turned into women being manipulative because they feel it's the only way they can get what they want. It doesn't just apply to the workplace either, I'm afraid...I've seen it everywhere I look and it makes me ashamed to be a woman sometimes.

Many women can not get their head on straight. All these feelings and never knowing what to do with them. The women who channel all that energy into doing a good job will out work everyone!!! It's the girls that are jade that make a bad name for the rest of us:)

Sabotage? I guess if it does happen it’s because there are so few management positions for women. And that will only fuel a spirit of competition kind of like to many dogs and only one bone.

Green eyed monster! If you don't know what that means, it means envy. A woman with the green eyed monster is dangerous. It should be a law that woman have their hormones checked out every six months. I've worked in a few salons and I'm here to tell ya, I felt like chasing those girls around with shots full of Vit.b-12, Primrose oil,and Seroquel. We were on commision. It's definatly safer to work with them when you're hourly. But, there's always that "one girl" among many nice woman that is a bad apple and wants everyone to be a bad apple with her. Their like Jimmy Jones with Estrogen. They can't just hate you on their own. They have to make sure to make you look stupid in front of everyone as much as they can. I haven't worked in a salon for 3 years and I can't do it anymore because my insurance won't pay for my doctor to remove anymore knifes out of my back.

There are just some very catty and unscrupulous women out there. They dwell on being right all the time and are incredibly jealous of everyone around them.
