I would like to know on average how much extra people get paid for doing the same job but being located in london. I know this varies from company to company but I need to get a rough idea.
Thanks

hi this gives you a rough idea of how much you get working in different sectors. not sure how up to date this info as a lot of the web results date between 2002 -2005 (at least the ones i've seen)

the second seems slightly more recent but an nhs application i recently filled had a max allowance of £3946 (15% of basic wage)

hope this helps

When i worked in London it was around 4-5,000.

For someone who worked in London full time, now lives out of London... I can definitely see why they get London Weighting..

Changes you salary bracket, which is a bit poo, but at least you can buy a house on an average salary... buying a house in London even WITH London weighting is virtually impossible for 1st time buyers...

..sorry i think Ive gone on a little rant!! lol

I can imagine it's proportional to the amount of 'weighting' you have to do at traffic lights, for buses, for tube trains, for tourists to get out of your way etc!
