The company is registered and trades in the UK but I could still work for them if I move with my husband because most of the work is done via email. He will be getting a work permit until his Provincial Nominee Program application is completed but will I need one too? I won't be taking a job away from a Canadian person. The alternative would be to become a consultant for the company but then again, would I need a work permit? Any help appreciated.

id say you would need a permit, check with the british embassy, as if your required to have a permit and you are employed you are breaking the law, as far as i know a wife can move over, but must wait something like 18 months till she is "vetted" and deemed allowed to work in any way

No you wouldn't, because you're technically not working here. The company isn't located or operating in Canada. They wouldn't even be able to sponsor you for a Canadian work permit since they aren't in Canada.

Yes - for residence reasons you are allowed to stay for 6 months (UK Passport Holder) only: although there is no specified period before re-entry - I was warned on my 3rd.entry, all within a year, that unless I obtained a permit to stay I would be refused entry the next time.
