I am going to prom with a relatively small group and really want a cool place to eat that is out of the ordinary. My group doesn't want to try anythign exotic but i don't want anything i've had before, liek Maggianno's, etc. I also need to find a restaurant that is decently priced, no more than 30 dollars per person.
i'm really looking for a place with atmosphere and unique dishes.

eat at kobe steaks! thats a fun place and it is sooo yummy.
i went to Ray's on the River.. Its beautiful and yummy, but expensive.
BED is fun cause you can request to seat on a bed...seats up to 10 people

have you been to twist or shout located in midtown and buckhead?
alot of people are big on going to cheesecake factory which is fine if that is what you are looking for but it might not be as unique as you like.
places like maggiano's you can try are always good. also try copeland's if you have not been there
cocoloco has some good cuban food

i been to quite a few of these and/or heard about them from ppl i talk to they mention them and say go try but i haven't gotten around to them yet. if you need more check out the websites below it refreshed my memory a little.
when in doubt go with something slightly more familiar because prom is a big night and you dont want the food being something you hate and having that memory with you forever! you want the meal attached to a big day for you to be something you really enjoy so think about that. if you're not really into experimenting and never had sushi think first

For my prom we went to a Japanese Steak House that cooked infront of you. Your party sits around a round table that has the grill in the middle, and the chef does really neat tricks while he cooks your food. It's really fun and different.
