hi
i have read all the answers given to u so far. So in light of that understand that our balance is by three factors
1. Fluid in our inner ear
2. Feeling when we walk/ or stand on our feet
3. Reference of surrounding which tells us how our surroundings are. It tells us if we are straight with horizon or not.
Now to check the inner ear problem, stand on one foot and close your eyes . If u maintain the balance then inner ear is fine. Also close your eyes stretch your hand in front of you and walk in straight line. If you can walk on straight line you are just fine. Else you have a problem.
Eye sight is 6/6 and not 20/20
Get it checked.
For a few days relax and do some stretching exercise
It doesn't look like inner ear problem coz it is related many other symptoms.
Learn to relax and don't navel gaze on the problem learn to relax

It doesn't sound funny at all. I think you should go have a complete physical and let your doctor know about the increased clumsiness. Some folks have clumsiness as a symptom of pregnancy. That would likely be good news. It can also be a symptom of Lou Gerhigs (sp?) Disease, which would be not such good news. It may also be a symptom of something else. To be on the safe side, go get checked out by a doctor and investigate all possible reasons for the clumsiness. Good Luck!

I notice that I'm more clumsy when I've a lot of stuff on my mind and when I'm tired. The less focused you are on your surroundings then the more likely you are to bump into stuff! That's my excuse for being clumsy anyway ;)

Many things can affect clumsiness...inner ear problems..other heath problems, some serious...may be something as simple as being distracted and just not paying attention...if it has reached a level to be worrisome then you need to consult a Dr. immediately...I don't want to scare you but things like brain tumors etc.. can affect you this way too...so please schedule an appointment as soon as possible.

have a complete physical executive check up. your insurance will cover it anyway it could be from many things like eyesight, inner ear problems, lack of concentration on the things that you are doing etc. etc. the best way is spend a couple of days for yourself and have a complete check up.

If you are falling over as you say besides walking into things I would schedule your complete physical now instead of when you normally get it done so you can get this checked out at the docs office.

Well, you can't "become" clumsy...sometimes it just happens! But thats life..trust me, i know how you feel to be clumsy sometimes, the key is to just be careful, and don't think of yourself as a clutz, it will make you feel worse..!

It means that your are now experiencing the unbalanced side of yourself that you thought you never had. Futhermore, everybody tends to go through that stage.
