It's always logical to be afraid of the unknown and death is something we know very little about. We know what happens phsyically but we are unsure as to what happens after death. It's ok to be afraid but when the fear of death takes over your life and prevents you from actually living...then it becomes illogical.

This is a very common anxiety problem, being afraid of death. Of course its logical, its probably one of the only anxiety disorders that other "normal" people can relate to.

What's to be afraid of? I've always looked at it as a way out.
More than likely we've all been here before and will all return at some point. Too bad we just don't remember it.

Off course it is but remember life wouldn't be important if it wasn't for death > if we could all live forever we could do whatever we want make as many mistakes and have no motivation to better ourselves

No actually it isn't because we all know it's coming and there's no way to avoid it and it's the most natural thing in life. You're not afriad to eat, procreate or sleep are you? Part of life that's all. If you're scared of it it means you don't having an accepting attitude towards dying.

As Socrates pointed out, the worst that death means is that you return to the state of nothingness which existed before your birth. that wasn't painful or bad at all, now, was it?
