Is it any good? Was it full of Chavs? Is there anywhere you can recommend??
I'm going there tomorrow night with some work colleagues for a free stay at a hotel and would like to amuse ourselves for the evening...

Gobbles your advice is sound, i'll check out the places you mentioned and await my night out in Stoke (i prefer Dance or Trance or Funky House music!)

"Stokies" The hotel I'm staying in is the Best Western Moat House, 4* so should be safe there. i think it's right near festival park or so i'm told!

I live in Stoke so I go for nights out there all the time. There's plenty of places to go, it depends on what you like, music-wise, but there's something for everyone really. Walkabout's usually ok, and Aruba's pretty cool as well, but if your out to dance then your best going somewhere like Liquid or The Sugarmill.
It's not full of chavs, just the average you'd find anywhere in the country. Hoodies and things are generally not allowed in the clubs and bars anyway!

hanley is a great place for a night out,unfortunately most nightclubs have turned into stripclubs (fortunate,though if your male) liquid and walkabout are supposed to be good nights out,but if you like the golden oldies try flares a wicked night in there and i'm only 27 but love it,atmosphere is great ! i was born and bred in hanley,and still living here,cant imagine living anywhere else,and i certainly arent a chav.it isn't like that at all. have a good night.
