This season is destined to be among the worst for American Idol. The most successful Idols to date have been Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, and even runner up Kathrine McPhee, and even Chris Daughtry. What ever happened to Taylor Hicks, Fat Fella Ruben or his little buddy Clay, the illeterate Fantasia finally memorized her words well enough to release an album. Past seasons prove that this season will suck. After cutting Anotella and nearly cutting Haley Scarnato there isn't one pretty person left in the competition. It's a sad fact but the past seasons prove that if you aren't pretty and aren't white, you aren't going to sell any albums as the winner. This seasons "cast" looks like some sort of ramshackle high school drama club. I can guarantee the winner will be the least successful Idol ever. The show has just become a joke.

i think last year's season was pretty bad too, so i would say that this season and last season are the worst seasons yet. clay akin has been pretty sucessful too, so i'd put him in with kelly, carrie, chris, etc. even way more than than ruben who won that season they were both on. clay has a pretty stong fan base (the even have nick names for themselves lol). goes to show you don't have to win to be more successful.

Man am I the only one who does not like Lakisha or Melinda...yes they can sing but they lack charisma. Melinda feels fake to me that shes playing this weird im so coi attitude and lakisha isnt nearly as good as Jordin.(Jordin should win)
As far as this being a sucky season i have to say it hasnt been any worse then the past seasons. Id say the most successful idols are Kelly, Carrie, jennifer hudson,Chris and clay....although clay has dissappeared. I havent heard anything fron Kathrine McPhee and if im lucky itll stay that way.

It's pretty bad. There really is no competition this year. They should just call it a tie between Melinda and Lakisha and put us out of our misery. As far as looks go, this is a singing contest not a beauty pagent.

Yeah, Antonella was pretty but she couldn't sing at all...
Every year there are only a couple of stand outs among the other mediocre singers...
this year isn't any different then other years except for the fact that the two stand outs this year can sing way better then all the contestants from previous years combined....

i would have to agree...we won't even waste our time watching this season. the tryouts were better. that is our favorite part of the show anyways.
