If I took the day off...
I would have real strong coffee in costa with a banana nut muffin, read a good book a few hours then have lunch at yo sushi, then maybe drive out somewhere pretty in the sunshine and have a cheese, strawberries and champagne picnic in the park. after that I'd have a facial and then go home watch tv all evening ready to face another "work" day

We call them mental health days. If it's a lack of interest, maybe you should spend the day looking for a different job.

Look for something that will keep your interest. Sounds like you won't be at your current job much longer.

something memorable, worthwhile and interesting.... just go to work and daydream all day of the lovely weekend youll have and get paid while doing it

Can you DO that? I've often thought of calling in "pissed off" or "disinterested", but I've never had the nerve.
