When you do a system restore, you should be able to select the date you want it restored to. You can also restore it to factory condition.

That depends on whether you still have the restore points. You can find out by opening your system restore program and back track the calendar months. Of course, if you seldom install programs and have never done updates, there might be a chance.. Worse still if your system restore have been turned off. . .. Anyway, check and see. ..If you still have the points, do some disk cleanups and defrag before you start the restore.

It depends on what your settings are, but most likely no. With system restore, once the restore points use up the allotted amount of space, any new restore point will replace the oldest one. Therefore, odds are, in two years, you've far surpassed that.

it depeneds. If you mafe a pinpoint or back up of your computer 2 years ago, and you used a keyword pinpoint using system restore, then yes you can return it to that (if you remember the keyword that is, if you dont remember, your screwed) or if you made a back up file on the laptop its self then put it all on a disquette or CD or if you already have it on disquette or CD then reboot all your files, either by crashing you computer or, reinstall windows (note: PUT ALL YOUR IMPORTANT FILES ON THE DISQUETTE OR CD BECAUSE WHEN YOU REBOOT OR REINSTALL WINDOWS ALL FILES WILL BE DESTROTED SO WHEN ITS DONE JUST PUT THE CD OR DISQUETTE BACK IN THE COMPUTER AND UPLOAD YOUR FILES BACK)
