Yes football players shave there legs for 2 reasons o
(1) the obvious taping of them.
(2) mud after a long game in a wet environment mud sticks to the hair drys while you get undressed and when you jump in the shower it doesn't come right off, and hurts

Actually Tim Dwight who's now with the Jets shaves his entire body all of the time. I forget why. I think he used to do it when he ran track at Iowa so that he could run faster. But there was a big write up on it in ESPN the Magazine a few years ago and a picture of him shaving his leg on the side of a tub. At the time I thought it was stunt journalism to get more girls to read the magazine but it does answer your question.

I played college football and I did shave my legs for one reason.....2 bad knees that forced me to get taped before every practice and before every game. After a couple times of ripping hair off with the tape and pre-wrap after practice I shaved my legs.

I'm sure you could find some that do. Although I don't see how that effects their playing, likely the same as other guys that just shave their legs because that is what they prefer.

Who told you that? I've never heard of any players shaving their legs.

ell they culd shave their legs if they felt like it, but the only sport where shaving their legs will help for men is swimming because the airs on their legs can slow them down =]

Some football players may if they want thinking it will help them speed up in running, but water is the only thing that hair will slow you down in

Or because the tape would pull their hairs out and that would hurt haha =] looks like your boyfriend is a good sport =]

HOPE I HELPED =]

i have never heard that they do, but track runners do, and swimmers. Football, can't say i have ever noticed if Brett Favre has hair on his legs or not. Maybe look at pictures on an NFL site, you should be able to tell.

I only shave right around my ankles, a little higher on my left leg than my right but thats only because I tape my ankles because I have some problems with them, but if I didnt have to tape my ankles, I wouldnt shave... Lance did, but IDK why he did, wearing the long socks over hairy legs hurts too, when you pull the socks down, trust me I have hairy legs and it can hurt so it depends on who it is...
